I am therefore writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act regarding contracts awarded by your organisation.
Please focus on contracts awarded aligning these codes 90910000 - Cleaning services and 90911200 - Building-cleaning services:
- Are cleaning services delivered in-house or outsourced?
- How many buildings are in scope?
- If outsourced, please provide the name of the current cleaning supplier(s).
- What is the total value of the contract awarded to the successful bidder?
- What is the duration of the contract, include start and end dates and extensions.
- If the contract is subject to an extension please specify whether the option to apply the extension has been taken.
- Please confirm when the contract will be next put to competitor tender
- What are the specific services or products provided under this contract?
- What were the criteria used to select the contractor?
- How many bids were received for this contract?

Many thanks for your request for information dated 31 August 2026 which asked for information relating to procurement practices in the UK, specifically in relation to cleaning and building services contracts.
We have handled your request in terms of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (FOISA). FOISA provides for a right of access to recorded information held by Scottish public authorities.
