WICS’ governance framework comprises the structures, responsibilities, policies, and procedures through which the organisation fulfils its statutory duties as an executive non-departmental public body (NDPB).
It includes the Framework Document agreed with the Scottish Government, the Rules of Procedure, Scheme of Delegation, Committee terms of references, Code of Conduct for Board Members, and the Risk Management strategy.
The framework ensures WICS maintains the principles of good governance: openness, accountability, proportionality, and continuous improvement.
