Information Request – Timescales for completion
Following our Information request of 10 March 2022 and the conditional approval of the 2022- 23 Scheme of Charges, we would now like to establish a process and timeline for submission of the completed tables.
It is becoming ever clearer that the economic environment will remain challenging over the coming year, and likely several years beyond (as recognised in the Office of Budget Responsibility’s Spring Statement published on 23 March). This further highlights the importance of Scottish Water completing the information return to allow the Commission to understand how Scottish Water plans to manage its revenues and costs and deliver the investment allowed for in the Final Determination for the 2021-27 regulatory control period.
I am therefore writing to ask for a timeline and sequencing of completing the tables for our review and agreement. We would expect that this timeline is consistent with completing the full request by September 2022, at the very latest, in line with the proposal set out on 7 April (appended to this letter). This would allow us to review the information ahead of the submission of the 2023-24 Scheme of Charges.
